2005
The 2005 Champions have been decided. At the Sr. B level it was the Sherwood Park Outlaws taking it to the newly crowned South champs the Knights of Airdrie. Building on the previous year the Knights took it a step farther with the support of a new fan base. Jr. A saw the Raiders head to the Alberta hosted Minto Cup as champions after beating the Miners in a 4 game sweep. Jr. B went the distance with the Warriors knocking off the Titans in the 5th and deciding game. Tier II had it's Cinderella story as the upstart Rockyview Silvertips nearly ran the table during the regular season in the south and got themselves into the Tier II Tournament Final against the strong Red Deer Rampage. The Rampage came through with a big 12-3 win when it mattered. And in the Ladies division for the first time a title was handed out to Sherwood Park beating the Red Deer Renegades 3-2.
2004
The 2004 Champions have been decided! At the Sr. B level it was the Edmonton Outlaws defeating the Calgary Mountaineers for the 4th year in a row. Story of the playoffs was the Cinderella run of the Calgary Knights who swept the first round then took the Mounties to 4 games in the South Final before bowing out. In Jr. A competition it was a close affair that the Edmonton Miners took 4 games to none but each game was decided by 2 goals or less. For the Jr. B crown upstart St. Albert Rams put on a good show but fell to the strong Calgary Jr. Mountaineers squad. At the Tier II provincials it was the host Red Deer Rampage pushing the Edmonton Warriors in the final but the Warriors proved to be stronger and held on to the 7-6 decision.
RMLL Champions
League play in this province has developed in many forms over the years and details are spotty at best. This latest revamp of the RMLL shows a history back to 1998 with a full fledged schedule. Previous Alberta champs can be found in the history section. Regular season standings are recorded below. Playoffs have been in the series format except for the Tier II Juniors who play a provincial tournament to decide the finalists.
